Stick this on the fridge and you never have to think about what is safe to grab. It is the whole site compressed to one page.

The 5 safe ingredients

  1. White vinegar — floors, surfaces, deodorizing (not on stone)
  2. Baking soda — odor, gentle scrub
  3. Castile soap — general wash (unscented for cats)
  4. 3% hydrogen peroxide — hard-surface disinfect, skunk recipe
  5. Lemon — degreaser (dogs only, never cats)

The 7 to avoid

  1. Bleach
  2. Pine / phenol cleaners
  3. Essential oils (tea tree, eucalyptus, citrus, peppermint)
  4. Ammonia
  5. Quats (disinfectant wipes/sprays)
  6. Ethylene glycol (antifreeze-scented products)
  7. Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives

The weekly routine

  • Daily: rinse bowls, scoop litter
  • Weekly: vinegar mop, castile-soap surfaces, hot-wash pet bedding
  • Monthly: deep-clean litter area, sanitize toys

The emergency order

Blot → enzyme → vinegar rinse → baking soda dry. Never rub, never ammonia.
